Breaking News: Hegseth fired two. more Generals, David Hodne and William Green Jr., alongside Army Chief of Staff Randy George. Three generals fired in one day. All because they’re refusing to put troops in Iran….
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired two additional senior Army leaders, David M. Hodne and William Green Jr., in a sweeping leadership shake-up that underscores growing tensions within the Army’s top ranks.
General Hodne, who had only recently been promoted in October, was leading the Army’s Transformation and Training Command, a key four-star role focused on modernization and doctrine. Meanwhile, Major General Green served as the Army’s top chaplain.
Their removals come amid a broader pattern of senior military officials being dismissed or sidelined in recent months, raising concerns among Army leadership about stability and continuity at the highest levels. The firings are part of a wider effort by Hegseth to reshape military leadership.
Officials have pointed to ongoing disputes over personnel decisions, including his controversial move to block the promotion of four Army officers to one-star general rank. Two of those officers are Black and two are women, and their removal from a larger list of candidates drew questions from senior officials about whether race or gender played a role.
