Breaking News: How Chiefs can secure a Rashee Rice backup plan for Patrick Mahomes with sliding NFL Draft wide receiver…see more
Following a truly disappointing season where they went 6-11, the Kansas City Chiefs put together an offseason plan that came with mixed reviews.
One one hand, they brought in Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker and some nice additional pieces, but they also lost a chunk of their secondary, including standout cornerback Trent McDuffie.
The team was also dealt a bit of a shock, as Rashee Rice was once again involved in a potential legal issue.Clearly, the team wasn’t too concerned with that aspect, as they didn’t sign any wide receivers in free agency.
That doesn’t mean when they won’t make any additions at the position, though, with the 2026 NFL Draft still to come. Given that the Chiefs have two first round picks now, they can potentially add a very solid wideout for Patrick Mahomes to work with.
