Exclusive: Baby Biles Shares Simone Biles’ Paris Olympics Spotlight for This Adorable Reason… See more
The gymnastics gene runs deep in Simone Biles’ family, and there’s already a future Olympian in the making—her adorable niece, Ronni Biles, aka Baby Biles! This tiny tot took her first flight at just nine months old to cheer on her TT (that’s Auntie Simone) at the 2023 US Championships. Fast forward to a year and a half later, and she’s witnessed her aunt make history again, snagging three golds and one silver at the Paris Olympics, making Simone the most decorated US Olympic gymnast. Talk about having a superstar role model because that’s precisely how Ronni sees her aunt!
POV: that feeling when you will be in Paris this week & going to the FREAKING Olympics to cheer on TT” As soon as Sammi Biles—Simone’s sister-in-law—wrote this on Instagram with a video of Ronni admiring herself in a replica of the gymnast’s 2024 Core Hydration Classic leotard, we should’ve known it was a foreshadowing. Because anytime Ronni Biles is under the same roof as her TT, all she wants to do is follow in Simone’s footsteps. And why wouldn’t she, considering Baby Biles is a natural?
After the 2023 US Championships, Ronni’s mom, Sammi Biles—Simone’s sister-in-law—shared that the little one is a natural, just like her aunt. She started by mounting herself high on the rings in her crib. Ronni has been imitating Simone’s moves, tumbling and twirling, and even becoming the youngest elite WCC member, the gym owned by Simone’s parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles. So, the natural next step was to attend the Olympic Trials, where the one-year-old seemed to be having the time of her life (owing to Team USA’s dog, Beacon, just as much as her aunt), only to take the support up a notch at the Games.
Baby Biles took her first international trip to the City of Love to cheer her history-maker TT at the Paris Olympics. As Simone wrapped up her campaign on August 5, ESPNW reported on X, “Simone Biles’ niece has been wearing matching leos throughout the Paris Olympics ,” for each of Simone’s performances at the Bercy Arena. For reference, the 27-year-old had different leotards for all her events: the qualification round, the team final, the all-around final, and the vault, beam, and floor exercise finals. That’s six events, and Baby Biles matched her aunt in every single one.
