WATCH: Jaafar Jackson Embodies Michael Jackson in ‘Michael.’ But Does He Sing in the Movie?….
The 29-year-old nephew of the music legend spent years learning how to dance and speak just like the King of Pop.
“When I was doing all the performances, I was actually singing out live in the microphone on top of Michael’s track. So it’s a blend of my vocal and Michael’s,” he replied.
Jaafar Jackson confirmed there are moments in the film where there is no backing track and it is only his voice. “It’s actually me singing, the a cappellas, which was really fun to do,” he said.
Jaafar Jackson added that the support from his family, including father Jermaine Jackson, has “been so heartwarming.”
